This Privacy Policy explains how TUCKR89 LLC ("TUCKR89," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Truck Maintenance mobile application (the "App") and the Truck Maintenance website (the "Website"). Truck Maintenance is designed primarily as a local-first application, which means core truck records are stored on your device rather than automatically synchronized to TUCKR89 servers.
1. Information you provide and store in the App
Depending on the features you use, the App may store information you enter or create, including truck profile details, unit number, VIN if you choose to enter it, odometer readings, maintenance schedules, service history, repair records, fuel entries, MPG calculations, costs, vendors or shops, notes, reminder settings, reports, and optional receipt or photo attachments.
These core App records are stored locally on your device unless you deliberately export, share, or back them up using a feature that you control.
2. Data the App does not automatically collect from your truck records
Truck Maintenance does not automatically upload your maintenance, fuel, repair, odometer, VIN, receipt, photo, or service-history records to a TUCKR89 cloud account. Version 1 does not require a separate Truck Maintenance account or password.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
Optional Truck Maintenance Pro subscriptions may be offered through the platform store from which you obtained the App, such as Google Play or, if an iOS version is distributed, the Apple App Store. The applicable store processes the payment transaction and may provide the App with purchase status, subscription status, product identifier, transaction identifier, or similar entitlement information needed to activate or restore Pro features.
TUCKR89 does not receive your full payment-card number, bank account credentials, Apple ID password, or Google account password. Store providers process purchases under their own privacy policies and terms.
4. Device permissions and optional access
The App may request device permissions only when needed for a feature you choose to use. Depending on platform and App version, this may include:
- Notifications: to show locally scheduled maintenance reminders.
- Photos, files, or document access: when you choose a receipt, photo, backup file, or export location. The App is intended to access only the items you select or the access allowed by the operating-system picker.
You can revoke applicable permissions through your device settings. Some features may stop working if a required permission is disabled.
5. Local notifications
If you enable reminders, the App may schedule notifications on your device using maintenance dates, mileage information, or reminder settings stored locally. Reminder information is not required to be sent to TUCKR89 servers in order to generate these local notifications.
6. Backup, restore, export, and sharing
Pro features may allow you to create local backup files, reports, CSV/PDF exports, or share selected records through your device. You decide where these files are saved or which third-party app or service receives them. Once you export or share a file outside Truck Maintenance, that file is handled according to the privacy and security practices of the destination you choose.
Backup and export files may contain truck, maintenance, fuel, repair, cost, notes, or attachment information. Protect these files appropriately and delete copies you no longer need.
7. Website information
When you visit the Website, the hosting and network providers may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, date and time, referrer, and server or security logs. The Website is not used to automatically synchronize your Truck Maintenance App records.
8. Advertising and analytics
Truck Maintenance Version 1 does not display third-party advertising. TUCKR89 does not operate an advertising backend that collects your truck-maintenance records. If future versions add analytics, advertising, cloud synchronization, or other data-processing services, this Privacy Policy and the applicable Google Play Data safety or Apple App Privacy disclosures will be updated before or when those practices apply.
9. How information is used
Information handled by the App is used to provide the features you request, such as displaying your records, calculating mileage-based maintenance, calculating MPG, generating reports, scheduling reminders, enabling Pro entitlements, restoring purchases, creating backups, and supporting troubleshooting.
10. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your Truck Maintenance records. Information may be processed by third parties only as needed for services you use or choose, including:
- Google Play / Google: Android app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, and purchase restoration.
- Apple / App Store: if the App is distributed on iOS, app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, and purchase restoration.
- Your operating system and selected apps: file picking, sharing, backup destinations, or opening exported files when you initiate those actions.
- Website hosting and security providers: ordinary website delivery, availability, and security logs.
Third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies. Where TUCKR89 engages a service provider to process data on our behalf, we expect it to handle data consistently with applicable law and the services described in this Policy.
11. Data retention
App records stored locally remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear the App's storage, restore different backup data, or uninstall the App. Backup and export files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them from that location.
Platform stores may retain purchase and transaction records according to their own policies and legal obligations. Website logs may be retained by our hosting or security providers for operational, fraud-prevention, troubleshooting, or security purposes according to their retention practices.
12. Data deletion and privacy choices
Because Version 1 does not require a Truck Maintenance account, there is no separate cloud account to delete. You can delete individual records using available App controls, clear the App's local storage through your device settings, or uninstall the App. You are also responsible for deleting any backup or export copies you created and stored elsewhere.
You can revoke notification or file/photo permissions through your device settings. Purchase records maintained by Google or Apple are controlled through the applicable store account and are subject to the store provider's policies.
13. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App's local-first design. Your local records are also protected by the security of your device and operating system. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use device screen-lock protections and store exported or backup files in locations you trust.
14. Children's privacy
Truck Maintenance is intended for adults age 18 and older, including truck drivers, owner-operators, independent contractors, and trucking-business operators. The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly design the App to collect personal information from children.
15. International processing
Platform stores, website hosts, security providers, or other services you choose may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their processing is governed by their own policies and applicable law.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, Website, platform requirements, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date when appropriate.
